Like a Phoenix from the ashes, CODA rises again
What does everyone know about this new firm at It appears that they purchased the rights and remaining inventory of Coda Automotive. Anyone know who these people are, and what sort of pricing they are offering? How about the service options to maintain our remaining cars on the road?

From their site:

Quote:Club Auto Sales and Ready Remarketing have teamed up to provide a great car at a great price. We have purchased the remaining Coda Automotive vehicles and are offering them for sale at a substantial discount. The original cars were priced around $40,000.00 plus fees depending on options.

Electric motor power is provided by UQMPowerPhase 100 manufactured in Colorado. The UQMPowerPhase 100 electric propulsion system delivers 100 kilowatts (134 horsepower) of peak power, 300 newton meters (221 pound feet) of peak torque and a peak system efficiency of 94%, all in a small 280 millimeter (11 inch) diameter by 252 millimeter (10 inch) long package.

The transaxle is a Borg-Warner Gear Reduction, also USA produced. A Lear 6.6 kW charging system is standard as well as the Alpine Navigation system. In fact most of the drive train was USA built and the car it self was originally designed by Pininfarina and produced in plants in Europe and in Asia. The battery pack is built by Lishen who is one of the world's largest manufacturers of lithium-ion cells and a key supplier to Apple, Motorola, Samsung and Vodafone, among others. Even Porsche Design Studios had a significant role in various upgrades.

In short, this is a nice size car with five passenger seating, eco-cloth seating or optional leather seating surfaces. It has a stated range of 125 miles (depending on terrain, climate and other factors) and charging is easy with either the included 120v home charger or the optional 240v Level 2 GE Watt Station.

Quote:Club Auto Sales and Ready Remarketing owners combined have over 100 years of Automotive experience. We are located in the San Francisco Bay Area and have extensive EV and Hybrid Vehicle experience.

We are not affiliated with Coda Automotive or Coda Energy in any way, we have only bought assets of Coda Automotive for intent of resale.

Quote:Although these cars are now heavily discounted and will not be sold with a Manufactures Warranty, service is still available at various locations. We have purchased the extensive parts inventory from Coda to provide a good supply of spares for these vehicles.
